CVS Health Diaper Rash Ointment is a must-have in any parent's diaper bag. If you have had or taken care of a baby, you know that diaper rash is a common, painful problem. Diaper rash is inflamed skin that can appear like patchwork on your baby's bum. It is associated with wet diapers, diapers that don't get changed frequently, skin sensitivity, and chafing. It is characterized by: Changes in the skin: 1. Red skin that looks like it is tender in the areas where the diaper touches - thighs, bottom, and genitals. 2. Changes in disposition: Your baby may seem more uncomfortable, especially during diaper changes. Your baby may be fussier and may cry more than usual. There can be many reasons a baby develops a diaper rash. Some of those reasons are: 1. Irritation after having urine or stool in the diaper: Prolonged exposure can be irritating. Change wet and soiled diapers promptly, cleanse the diaper area, and allow to dry. Apply ointment liberally as often as necessary, with each diaper change, especially at bedtime or anytime when exposure to wet diapers may be prolonged. Store at room temperature 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C).

For external use only. When using this product avoid contact with eyes. Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days (This may be a sign of a serious condition). Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
