CVS Health Diaper Rash Ointment

2.00 OZ, 0.21 lbs. Item # 803987

CVS Health Diaper Rash Ointment is a must-have in any parent's diaper bag. If you have had or taken care of a baby, you know that diaper rash is a common, painful problem. Diaper rash is inflamed skin that can appear like patchwork on your baby's bum. It is associated with wet diapers, diapers that don't get changed frequently, skin sensitivity, and chafing. It is characterized by: Changes in the skin: 1. Red skin that looks like it is tender in the areas where the diaper touches - thighs, bottom, and genitals. 2. Changes in disposition: Your baby may seem more uncomfortable, especially during diaper changes. Your baby may be fussier and may cry more than usual. There can be many reasons a baby develops a diaper rash. Some of those reasons are: 1. Irritation after having urine or stool in the diaper: Prolonged exposure can be irritating. This is especially true for those with sensitive skin. Your baby may be more prone to rashes if they have diarrhea, as stool irritates the skin more. 2. Rubbing: Clothes or diapers that are too tight can rub against the skin. 3. New products: It could be new diapers, wipes, laundry detergent, fabric softener, bleach, lotion, powder, or oils. These could all cause skin irritation if your baby is sensitive to the ingredients. 4. Yeast or bacterial infection: This could be an ordinary skin infection that spreads. Areas covered by the diaper tend to be moist and warm, giving bacteria and yeast a place to grow. These are often found in the creases of the skin. 5. Introducing new foods: As your baby eats different foods, the stool composition changes. 6. Sensitive skin: If your baby has skin conditions they may develop a rash quicker. 7. Antibiotics: These kill even the good bacteria on the skin, which your baby needs. Relieves chafing
