To our valued customers, an update from CVS Optical about COVID-19

The health and safety of our patients and staff remain our top priority. We are taking steps to ensure we are providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment in order to best serve your eye health care and optical needs.

Our CVS Optical centers will be open during our normal center operating hours. When it is time for your appointment, please check in with an optical colleague within the center. We ask that only patients and guardians/care-givers enter the optical center; any companions should remain outside the center.
For both your safety and the safety of our colleagues, we ask that you wear your own mask at all times during your visit. At this time, we are unable to provide masks for patients and will need to reschedule your appointment if you arrive without one.
Patients will be required to fill out in-take forms before their scheduled exam. When possible, our optical staff will contact you 1-2 days before your visit and collect the necessary information via phone. If we are unable to reach you before your scheduled appointment, we will collect all necessary information during the check-in process.
We have created specific guidelines for our centers that includes instrument disinfection, thorough surface cleaning, and eyewear sanitizing between each patient. Our doctors and associates will be wearing personal protective equipment and will practice frequent hand washing.
We have removed our waiting area and have arranged our workstations and dispensing tables to accommodate seating for patients only, maintaining 6 feet of space between each station. In addition, we are practicing social distancing by expanding time between eye exams and offering ship to home options on contact lens purchases.

Account questions

If you can't remember it, you can reset your password. You'll need to enter the email address you used to create your CVS.com® account. Follow the link in the email we send and then answer your security question. You'll then be able to create a new password. Your old password will no longer be valid.
If you can't remember or no longer have access to the email address you used to create your account, call Customer Care at 1-833-287-5367.
To change your email or password, sign in to CVS.com®, go to My Account and choose "Update sign in information."
It's possible that the email is getting flagged by your email's spam filter. Please check your email's spam folder. Additionally, the password reset email can sometimes take several minutes to reach your inbox.

Ordering questions

First, browse contact lenses to find the ones you want. To check out, you'll need to tell us your prescription, select your eye doctor and pay. If you don't already have a CVS.com® account, you'll need to create one along the way. If you're having difficulty placing your order, you can call Customer Care for help at 1-833-287-5367.

Prescription questions

Yes, you must have a current contact lens prescription to place an order. You're required to enter your prescription and select your eye doctor before ordering. If you don't have a copy of your prescription to upload, we'll contact your eye doctor to obtain a copy of your prescription. Once we verify your prescription, we'll process and ship your order.
The details of your prescription can also be found on your contact lens box(es). If you don't have that available, do your best to enter the correct prescription information. We'll contact your eye doctor to obtain a copy of your prescription and verify it before processing and shipping your order.
Your prescription should have an expiration date on it. Most prescriptions are valid for one or two years, although it varies by state.
You don't have to, but uploading an image of your prescription will speed up the process of verifying your prescription and shipping your order.
At this time we cannot accept optical prescriptions from outside the United States.

Order status and shipping questions

To view your complete order history, including the status of current orders, go to My Optical Account. You must be signed in to access your account information.
Go to My Optical Account and open the order you're looking for. Use the "View invoice" link next to the order total to open the invoice. You can download or print the invoice from there.
It may take up to 48 hours to process your order. To speed up the prescription verification process, upload an image of your prescription when you place your order. We'll verify your prescription and ship your order as soon as possible.
We offer standard shipping (5–7 business days) for FREE. Next day shipping is available for $19.99.
Free Return Shipping:

For Contact Lenses Purchased Online, we want to make returns easy for you. Regardless of reason for the return, you can return unused contact lenses with free shipping, as long as they are sealed in their original packaging - within 1 year of the shipping date. This policy excludes previous purchases and purchases made in the Optical Centers inside CVS Pharmacy.

How to make a return:
  • Contact your CVS Optical Customer Service Representative Team at 1-833-287-5367 to request a return shipping label and we will email it to you within the same day.
  • You will receive a UPS shipping label with instructions on how to package your product to prevent damage and directions on how to send back your return.
  • In order to return the product you must utilized the emailed return label with RMA number. All returns sent without the emailed return label will not be eligible for return and refund will not be applied.
  • Within five business days after receiving your return with the supplied return label, CVS Optical will inspect your return and apply a credit to the original payment method and/or send your requested replacement free of charge. Some credit cards may take up to 10 days for credit to apply to your account.
CVS Optical reserves the right to make changes to or terminate this offer at any time. Free shipping on contact Lenses typically take 5 to 7 business days depending on prescription verification.

Payment questions

Yes, contact lenses are FSA/HSA eligible. When placing an order, make sure to check the box at time of payment indicating you are using an FSA/HSA card.
We will charge your card when we verify your prescription and ship your order. If we can't verify your prescription, we will not ship your order and you will not be charged.

Product questions

Yes, we carry all of the major brands like Acuvue®, Soflens®, Air Optix Aqua®, Optima®, PureVision®, Focus® and Biomedics®. We also offer hard-to-find specialty items such as toric, colored, multifocal and disposable contact lenses.
No, due to federal and state laws and regulations, you need a prescription even for contact lenses with no prescription power.
