There are many ways to earn ExtraBucks Rewards®.
Present your card every time you shop to:
- Earn 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards® on almost every purchase every time you shop.
- Earn ExtraBucks Rewards® through special offers that often include purchasing specific products.
Plus, you can earn 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards® on qualifying CVS® purchases made on Instacart and Shipt.
Members have always received 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards® on qualifying purchases from CVS®. You used to receive your rewards just four times a year — in January, April, July and October.
Now, we're giving you an ExtraBucks Rewards® coupon in the CVS Pharmacy® app and on CVS.com® every time you shop. Send them to card and choose to spend them next time or watch them add up — your choice!
ExtraCare® members who do not elect to redeem rewards digitally — through our app or CVS.com® — will continue to receive a quarterly printout of their accumulated rewards balance (minimum purchase may apply). For digital users, ExtraBucks Rewards® that are unused and have not been sent to their ExtraCare® card will be reissued on a printed coupon at the end of the quarter (minimum balance may apply).
You can also earn 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards® on qualifying CVS purchases made on Instacart and Shipt.
If you make CVS purchases on Instacart and Shipt and provide your ExtraCare® card number, you can see your rewards in the CVS Pharmacy app or on CVS.com®. ExtraCare® earnings for Delivery Marketplace purchases will be shown on CVS.com® or in our app and may take up to 48 hours to appear. Send rewards to your card to use on your next in-store or CVS.com® purchase.
Remember, you won't earn 2% back on these products and services: purchases for alcohol, bag fees, bottle deposits, bus and transit passes, CarePass® membership fees, certain CVS Optical® purchases, CVS Photo purchases (in store or online), CVS promotional items, donations, faxes, gift cards, hunting and fishing licenses, lottery, milk (where required by law or regulation), money orders, newspapers and magazines, packaging services, photo copies, postage stamps, prepaid cards, prepaid phones and accessories, prescriptions and copays, pseudoephedrine/ephedrine products, purchases fulfilled by DoorDash or other third-party Delivery Marketplaces, rug doc rentals, and any imposed governmental fees or items reimbursed by a government health plan.
On July 2, 2021, you received the 2% back in rewards you earned from March 16 to June 15, 2021. You have 45 days to access your 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards® and 45 days to redeem them through the CVS Pharmacy app, CVS.com® or in our stores.
If you shopped between June 16 and June 27, 2021, you received a second accumulated reward on July 3, 2021. You have 45 days to access your 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards® and 45 days to redeem them through the CVS Pharmacy app, CVS.com® or in our stores.
We are always listening to member feedback and we heard that some members preferred a larger payout on their receipts. All receipts will now let you know to check our app for your 2% back rewards balance.
If you want faster access to your 2% back rewards, go to our our app or CVS.com® to send them to card to redeem next time you shop. ExtraBucks Rewards® that are unused and have not been sent to your ExtraCare® card will be reissued on a printable coupon at the end of the quarter. Aggregate rewards that are under $1 will not be reissued as one coupon. Reward values issued that are less than $1 in total will remain in our app and on CVS.com® as individual coupons.
If you do not redeem rewards digitally through our app or CVS.com®, you'll receive a quarterly printout of their accumulated rewards balance (a minimum purchase may apply). Also, members who do not access their 2% rewards in the app or on CVS.com® by the quarterly payout date will no longer have access to coupon values that total less than $1.
You may not have used your ExtraCare® card when you made your purchase. If you don't have your card, you can use the phone number that's associated with your membership when you shop in a store.
If you used your card and still didn't receive rewards, your purchase or payment may not have qualified. Also, there may be earning limits if we suspect fraud: For example, there will be a limit of $5 ExtraBucks Rewards® earned for any single transaction, with a maximum of five qualifying transactions and $25 ExtraBucks Rewards® per day per card.
Here are some of the exclusions: purchases for alcohol, bag fees, bottle deposits, bus and transit passes, CarePass® membership fees, certain CVS Optical® purchases, CVS Photo purchases (in store or online), CVS promotional items, donations, faxes, gift cards, hunting and fishing licenses, lottery, milk (where required by law or regulation), money orders, newspapers and magazines, packaging services, photo copies, postage stamps, prepaid cards, prepaid phones and accessories, prescriptions and copays, pseudoephedrine/ephedrine products, purchases fulfilled by DoorDash or other third-party Delivery Marketplaces, rug doc rentals, and any imposed governmental fees or items reimbursed by a government health plan.
Your purchase may not have met the minimum $0.50 cents required to accrue rewards accessible in the app or on CVS.com® or $1 to accrue rewards accessible on printed and digital receipts.
Additionally, make sure you are using the latest version of the CVS Pharmacy app. If you are using an outdated version of the CVS Pharmacy app and your reward value is under $1, your coupon may show as $0 in the app. To fix this, update your CVS Pharmacy app to the latest version and your earnings should be available. You can check if you're not on latest version by visiting CVS Pharmacy in the Google or Apple Play store.
If you purchase from CVS.com®, you'll receive your reward when your order is shipped.
If you purchase from Instacart or Shipt, you'll receive your rewards on CVS.com® or in the CVS Pharmacy app. Rewards may take up to 48 hours to appear.
No. Depending on how you shop, there are different ways to get credit for qualifying purchases:
- For in-store purchases, you need to scan your ExtraCare® card, scan our app or give us the primary member's phone number to get credit.
- For CVS Pharmacy app purchases, you need to attach your card to the app by scanning it or inputting the number to get credit for your purchase. It's a great way to have your card "in hand" for in-store purchases, too.
- For CVS.com® purchases, you need to link your card number to your CVS.com® account to always get credit.
- For CVS purchases made through Instacart and Shipt, you need to enter a valid ExtraCare® card number to get credit.
Your 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards® expire 90 days from the end of each calendar quarter following their date of issue (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31). You must redeem ExtraBucks Rewards® before their stated expiration date.
Sure, as long as your reward can be used on what you purchase. Check your reward coupon for exceptions.
No. You can redeem each of your 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards® coupons individually, a few at a time or all at once.
Just sign in to the CVS Pharmacy app or CVS.com® and send the ones you want to use to your card before you shop.
Sure! It's your choice. Just don't forget to spend them in store or on CVS.com® before they expire. Your rewards coupons can't be redeemed on delivery marketplaces like Instacart and Shipt.
Yes. Make sure to enter your valid ExtraCare® card number into your Instacart or Shipt profile to earn when you shop CVS. We are also working on making it easier to enjoy ExtraCare® benefits when you shop other online Delivery Marketplaces. You can find your 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards on qualifying Instacart and Shipt purchases in the CVS Pharmacy app or on CVS.com®. ExtraCare® earnings for delivery marketplace purchases will be shown on CVS.com® or in our app and may take up to 48 hours to appear.
You can go to the ExtraCare® Coupon Center to print out special offers every time you visit. Plus, you get exclusive savings on sale items advertised in the weekly ad.
If you have our app, you can use the barcode scanner to search for deals on the products you want. Just go to the "Deals & Rewards" section, tap the barcode icon in the search tool and scan the barcodes of items you're interested in.

It's a new benefit! Your ExtraCare® birthday gift is (surprise!) $3 ExtraBucks Rewards®. It will be sent to you by text, email or you can find it in the CVS Pharmacy app close to your birthday.
To make sure you receive your reward, check that we have your birthday on file. And sign up for ExtraCare® emails and text alerts or download our app and link your card if you haven't already.
You've got 7 days to access your $3 ExtraBucks Rewards® and 7 days to redeem them through the CVS Pharmacy app or CVS.com®, or in our stores. (Why not keep the celebration going?) Just don't forget.
As of July 1, 2021, our BeautyClub birthday gift was replaced by your new ExtraCare® birthday reward. So now you get $3 ExtraBucks Rewards® to spend on what you want. Such a treat!
We're sorry! There are a few reasons why you might not have received it: ExtraCare® needs to have your birthday on file and you need to be signed up for text alerts, emails or link your card in the CVS Pharmacy app at least four weeks before your birthday. Birthday rewards will be delivered via the ExtraCare® channels you have opted into, including email, text alerts or our app.
Sorry to get the days mixed up, but at least we didn't forget. Please call ExtraCare Customer Service at 1-800-SHOP CVS (1-800-746-7287) to update your birthday.
Note: If your actual birthday is later this year, you won't receive a second reward but we'll get it right next year.

It's easy. Before you shop, sign in to your CVS.com® account or the CVS Pharmacy app, go to Deals & Rewards and send your reward to your ExtraCare® card. You can apply it when you check out.
In order to manage, view, earn and redeem your ExtraCare rewards online, you'll need to create a CVS.com® account and attach an ExtraCare card. If you already have an account, go to the ExtraCare® page, and follow the instructions to Attach Your Card Now.

Yes. You can print your coupons to use for in-store purchases. After you sign in to your account and have attached an ExtraCare® card, go to the ExtraCare® page and click on the ExtraCare Rewards® tab. Then click on the coupon description for your printable coupon.
It’s the ability to send certain offers to your ExtraCare® card so that instead of printing out a coupon, qualifying offers on your card will be automatically redeemed the next time you use your card at Checkout. To take advantage of this new functionality, please sign up for email or attach your ExtraCare® card number to your CVS.com® account or our app.
For rewards that are redeemable online, click on the coupon description on the ExtraCare Rewards® page to activate it. Apply it to your order by clicking on the Use Coupons/ExtraCare Rewards® button in your shopping cart.
Drop them off to the store manager at any CVS Pharmacy® location. We'll make sure that they're returned to their rightful owner.
Yes. You can see all of your store deals whenever, wherever. Just open the CVS Pharmacy app or go to CVS.com® and look for the weekly ad icon. It's so convenient.

To view your ExtraCare rewards®, print ExtraBucks Rewards® and to take advantage of convenient new online features, you will need to Sign Up for an online account, and follow the steps to Attach an ExtraCare® card.
If you already have a CVS.com® account with an ExtraCare® card attached, sign in using your email address and password. You will be able to view and print your ExtraCare® rewards and access your ExtraCare® member details.

Depending on the state where you live, you can make a request to know, correct or delete your personal information related to ExtraCare®. If you request to have your information deleted, we will no longer have the information we need to provide you with ExtraCare® offers.
You can also take yourself off our email list for promotional offers at any time by updating your Communication Settings in the My Account section of our website, or by following the instructions in any unwanted emails you receive.
