Microban

Microban is a household cleaner brand that manufactures a range of products designed to provide antibacterial protection on surfaces for up to 24 hours. You can find Microban in a sanitizing spray form, surface cleaner spray, and bathroom cleaner. Microban gives household surfaces long-lasting protection to help prevent the spread and growth of bacteria for 24 hours and works on nonporous, non-food contact surfaces.

Microban contains triclosan, an ingredient used in medical care to treat and coat surgical tools and to wash patients to help kill MRSA on the skin. This ingredient is known for its bacteria-killing properties, and it also kills yeast and fungi by attacking cell membranes. The proprietary blend of antibacterial agents in Microban helps to kill existing bacteria while preventing it from spreading for up to 24 hours after it has been applied to various surfaces throughout your home.

Microban is effective against Staphylococcus aureus & Enterobacter aerogenes bacteria, however, it does not provide protection against residual viruses. It will kill the bacteria that causes strep throat and tuberculosis, however, it is not effective against viruses such as the common cold or the coronavirus. Some illnesses may be caused by either bacteria or viruses, such as meningitis or diarrhea.
