This thermometer is not accurate. Do not buy.

This thermometer is a piece of junk. It cost $19.99 but with a coupon it was only $12.53. Still not worth the price as it does not work correctly. The first 3 temperatures I took were within 3 minutes of each other - they were 95.0, 97.0, and 98.5. Clearly this thermometer has no idea what my temperature is. The "2-second reading" feature is probably a bad idea - it needs more time to determine your temperature than that. This is going into the garbage can. I have already purchased a more-highly rated digital thermometer that takes 60 seconds to register the temperature from Amazon - and at $4.25 plus shipping = $12.33 it's still cheaper than this junky thermometer. Do NOT buy!

It does not seem to give an accurate reading

I used this for my kids who were sick. It is too flimsy. It read the same for each of my kids. It did come with plastic sleeve to prevent spreading germs. I just do not think ot gives the correct temp. It reads to low. I would try A different thermometer brand. I even tried it for myself and it also read very low.

I needed rapid for my dog

It was not rapid enough for my dog to stand having it in his butt. I think the reading at the vet was about 1 degree higher than the reading I was able to take at home. It was useful to monitor for his fever dropping, but it’s obviously a dedicated dog thermometer now, so it’s kind of annoying that it beeps and flashes with fever temps because dogs are hotter, and you can’t turn that off. I imagine it’s a decent oral thermometer for humans.

The CVS Rapid Read Thermometer works perfectly. It gives a very accurate temperature in just a couple of seconds. This gets an A++.
