When you need this.
For most of us, the first time we need to purchase... well we need it ASAP and we have no experience with such items. For us the need was sudden and likely short term. This is easy to assemble. No tools needed. And it works. For my short wife, she is able to get on and off easily. I was surprised to see one bad review but who knows. In fact we did not read the reviews before we purchased, rather we went to the CVS and there was one in stock. Anyway, highly recommend - at least for a small woman of average weight. Same as in the Hospital

Poor "Made in China" instructions, even if the product is made elsewhere the instructions should be composed here. I've put together countless pieces of furniture and equipment following instructions without a problem. These instructions were horrible. I ended up using intuition to assemble the commode. The commode itself is rickety. It states that it has a max. cap. of 350lbs., but a 110 lb. individual was jittering about with sitting. Definitely not for an overweight individual; they wouldn't even fit. Don't get me started with the swinging catch bucket, that almost emptied out on the bathroom floor (but emptied out on the edges of the toilet) while turning to empty. The bucket was luckily only 1/4- 1/3 full. A commode is needed to reliably support someone with a difficulty to get to a standard toilet; these individuals would therefore have a disability. Just what we needed
When my wife came down with Shingles it was pretty hard for her to get to the bathroom so we decided to get a bedside to make it easier for her. The one we got from CVS was perfect and very easy to put together. Price was about right for us too. Highly recommended for anyone looking for one of these.3 users found this review helpful.
