Dont use hoping it will replace the spot treatmet

Tried this after I ran out of the BP Spot treatment that was discontinued hoping it would help my skin remain clear... in 2 days my face has completely broken out with acne I haven't experienced in YEARS.

    Dermatologist-level results at home

This product truly lives up to the hype. Within a few weeks, my breakouts noticeably reduced, and my skin started to look smoother and more even. It’s gentle enough to use regularly but still delivers powerful results. I love that it’s oil-free, fragrance-free, and backed by dermatologists. A staple in my skincare routine—and the first retinoid that hasn’t irritated my skin.

    Great spot treatment

A very good treatment. It's quite light, doesn't leave the skin feeling heavy, and isn't greasy because it's a gel. The packaging is practical for using the entire product. I really like it and have seen results. It clears up my pimples in no time.

Where has this been all my life?!

I have been dealing with acne in various forms for last 34+ years of my life. At 47, and a working professional still dealing with very obstinant acne in the T-zone region, I FINALLY reached a breaking point of wanting to try something beyond the standard benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid products. I found Effaclar adapalene gel and what a difference it has made in just 2 months. The region above my eyebrows and temples always had acne blemishes and now I can barely find a plugged pore! Stunned. My wife asked me recently why I was so invested into resolving my acne as she simply didn't even notice it. But I did, and it has frustrated me for years. Now I feel more confident, heck even photogenic. If you are dealing with acne, so yourself a favor and try the Effaclar adapalene gel! Note: Retinol purge is real. In my case it was minor, but noticeable. But once I broke though to the other side, I couldn't be happier. 1 tube has lasted be 2+ months (treating my whole face/neck region). Additionally, retinol burn or damage to the skin barrier is also real. Take care to treat and repair your face with other products as necessary.

    God awful replacement

Terrible replacement for the dual action acne treatment. Can’t use this because I’m already using prescription retinoid cream. This is useless to me. Also I have a sibling who can’t use adapalene. Bad choice. Wish you hadn’t gone the way other brands are.

Not really a spot treatment as per dermatologist

This was prescribed for my mom(I am her caregiver), who had two pimples around her eye. I really can't rate the product because it was only used a couple of times. The pimples went away on their own. I am disappointed that my mother's dermatologist promoted this product as it seems that she could have prescribed a less expensive over the counter product. Now we have a full tube that we have no use for. Can it be used to treat crow's feet around the eyes?

    La Roche-Posay

La Roche-Posay is one of my all time favorite skincare brands. I use majority of their line so I was very excited to try the Effaclar Adapalene Gel Topical. The tube is huge and you only need a pea sized amount. This is the gentlest retinoid I’ve found yet. It doesn’t cause me any peeling or flaking on my face and doesn’t make my acne worse. It makes my overall skin texture smoother and glowy. It absorbs really well and I layer a thick moisturizer on top of it. I love this product and will be using every night now!
