It was a quick and convenient appointment, easy to schedule, and it was much better than going to a traditional urgent care. No-one was in the waiting area. I would consider going to a different location in the future. However, the nurse practitioner seemed hyper fixated on my mental health (I have GAD and MDD) and was doing a lot of screening questions even after I explained that I had a diagnosis and providers already. I was just there to have stitches removed and it was frustrating to get so many off topic questions. She also commented something like, “you’re beautiful. Don’t be depressed.” This really made me angry and uncomfortable, and seemed to imply that I could just snap out of it. It showed a lack of care and understanding about mental health.
