What is a college physical?
A college physical exam is different from an annual physical exam. Instead of a wide-ranging assessment of general health, a college physical checks someone’s health in regard to specific activities. It doesn’t replace an annual physical exam.
Getting help
A MinuteClinic provider can perform a college physical exam. They can review a person’s medical history, conduct an exam and recommend additional tests if necessary. Following the visit, the MinuteClinic provider will fill out the required medical forms with the details of the exam.

Check in using the email or text message we sent to confirm your appointment. If you prefer to check in using the electronic kiosk, make sure you have your confirmation code.If you made your appointment in the clinic:

To join your virtual visit, use the link in the email or text message we sent you to confirm your appointment. Please join 15 minutes before your scheduled visit time. You will need your date of birth and zip code to join the visit.- When it's time for your appointment, a provider will call your name.
- Your provider will conduct a thorough examination based on your reason for visit, presenting symptoms and health history. Charges will be based on examination and services provided during the visit.
- At the end of your visit, you are provided with a visit summary, receipt and educational material about your diagnosis. At your request, we can send your primary care provider information about your visit.
Frequently asked questions
Some colleges and universities require students to have a physical exam before they can start classes. MinuteClinic providers are available to perform the exam and complete the paperwork needed for their registration.
Your provider will review your medical history and immunizations and perform a physical exam.
Please collect the following medical information to bring to the examination:
- All documents the college or university requires with all sections completed
- Immunization history and records
- Your primary care provider's name and contact information
- Relevant health and medical history, including allergies, current medications and existing medical conditions
If you received vaccinations at a MinuteClinic® location, your provider can verify those immunizations. For immunizations performed by another health care provider, you will need to provide the records.
For minors, a parent or guardian should fill out the parent's sections of all the necessary forms before the visit.
