Law Enforcement

Partner with us to prevent prescription drug abuse.

If you're part of a local law enforcement agency, take advantage of these innovative programs designed to help you keep your community safer.

Apply for a free drug collection unit.

CVS Pharmacy® and The Partnership at Drugfree.org have teamed up to make drug collection units available to local law enforcement agencies.

Placed in a secure area as part of a law enforcement drug collection program, units offer community members a way to dispose of unwanted medications, including controlled substances, that may lead to addictions or contaminate water supplies.

If you're part of a local police department, apply for your free unit today.

Reach out to our stores.

Our Medication Disposal for Safer Communities program uses neighborhood stores to support your ongoing disposal efforts and host special events:

Host a local Drug Take Back event.

CVS Pharmacy will commit a portion of a store parking lot to any law enforcement agency that would like to conduct a Drug Take Back event.

  • Our stores are located with easy traffic access, which makes them convenient collection points.
  • Host stores promote events in the weeks leading up to the event date.

Highlight local drug disposal collection sites.

We'll help raise awareness of permanent onsite programs through customized in-store signage at area CVS Pharmacy locations.

  • Signs will list the address of the collection site and days or hours of operation.
  • Stores will maintain ongoing posting of information until requested otherwise by the local law enforcement agency.
  • In addition, CVS.com® will include the location in its searchable collection site listing.
