CVS Pharmacy® and The Partnership at have teamed up to make drug collection units available to local law enforcement agencies.

Placed in a secure area as part of a law enforcement drug collection program, units offer community members a way to dispose of unwanted medications, including controlled substances, that may lead to addictions or contaminate water supplies.

Our Medication Disposal for Safer Communities program uses neighborhood stores to support your ongoing disposal efforts and host special events:

Host a local Drug Take Back event.

CVS Pharmacy will commit a portion of a store parking lot to any law enforcement agency that would like to conduct a Drug Take Back event.

  • Our stores are located with easy traffic access, which makes them convenient collection points.
  • Host stores promote events in the weeks leading up to the event date.
