Why our approach is different
A regular doctor’s office doesn’t usually allow walk-in patients, nor does it post price lists online. We do—and much more! Here’s a snapshot of what we offer at MinuteClinic®:
- Open seven days a week
- Walk-in wait times posted online (you can usually still schedule appointments if you want)
- Uninsured patients welcome
- Most insurance plans accepted
- Affordable procedures with a mix of payment options
- Location in CVS Pharmacy® for one-stop access to medical appointments, prescriptions and health care products
In addition, you can take advantage of Virtual Care. Receive medical care 24/7, even if you’re stuck at home or it’s 3 a.m. Medical personnel have the authority to develop treatment plans and to send prescriptions to your pharmacy. Adults and children older than two years can be treated via a video visit. For an online visit, you must be older than 18.
Minor injuries, illnesses and skin conditions
At our clinic, you can receive treatment for a variety of ailments. A sample is below.
- Minor injuries: Bug bites and stings, tick bites, sprains, strains, joint pain, burns, wounds, cuts and blisters
- Minor illnesses: Allergies, cough, heartburn, nausea, mouth pain, pink eye, sore throat, upper respiratory infections, STDs
- Skin conditions: Chicken pox, acne, poison ivy, athlete’s foot, shingles, swimmer’s itch, sunburn, scabies, cold sores, mouth sores
Vaccinations, physicals, travel health and more
Our staffers recognize the importance of preventive health care. To that end, we provide vaccinations to prevent against flu, shingles, meningitis, pneumonia, measles, mumps, rubella and other conditions. You can also get B12 injections here.
If you’re taking a big trip to another country, stop by our MinuteClinic® about four to six weeks before you leave. In a pre-travel consultation, we can talk about things to watch out for in the region you’re going (perhaps Zika or malaria, for example). Receive various vaccinations and help on how to prevent motion sickness and traveler’s diarrhea.
Need a physical for college, sports or camp? You’ve come to the right place. We offer physicals as well as general medical exams. Our medical professionals also offer women’s services such as birth control care, pregnancy evaluation and treatment for HPV, UTIs and yeast infections.
Last but not least, you can get screened for conditions such as diabetes and Hepatitis C. We provide monitoring for diabetes and high cholesterol, and treatment for diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
