Flu shots help prevent illness
Did you know that flu can be deadly? In fact, hospitals treat more than 200,000 people for flu and complications every year; some of them die. Children five years and younger, seniors and others who may have weakened immune systems are all at risk of flu complications. To help protect these populations, family members and caregivers should consider a flu shot. It can’t be too early or too late for a shot; flu season can kick off in October and not end until May, with its peak period in January or February.
We provide flu shots for patients of all ages, beginning at 18 months. For those who prefer, we also offer the option for preservative-free injections. For anyone 65 and older, we can provide a high-dose flu injection, which is widely recommended. Don’t put it off; protection takes two weeks to become active, so the sooner you get your shot, the better for everyone in your circle of family, friends and co-workers.
Immunizations for all ages
MinuteClinic® offers an array of additional immunizations, including essential vaccines for children starting school, which include polio, MMR, Tdap and more. Teens may need an update of HPV or meningitis, while seniors may need a pneumonia vaccine. Hepatitis A and B, shingles and variations of Tdap vaccines are also available, as are vitamin B12 injections.
Use the CVS Pharmacy® app for mobile prescription services and to access helpful tools to identify loose pills, check drug interactions and get an idea of clinic wait times. For directions or more information about our services, Call us at 1-866-389-2727. "
