Protect your family from the flu
Avoiding the flu is essential for keeping your family healthy, especially if you have seniors or young children in your household. These groups, along with anyone who has a weakened immune system, are at risk of flu complications that can send them to the hospital, as it does for 200,000 people each year.
You may have heard that you don’t need a flu shot on an annual basis, but this is not true. Because a person’s immune response, or protection that is provided by the vaccine, declines over time, the CDC recommends yearly flu shots for nearly everyone over six months of age. Another reason for an annual injection is due to the constant changes in the flu virus. Health professionals review the vaccine’s formula every year and update it when needed.
Full menu of immunizations
Clinicians can administer a range of required immunizations, including MMR, Tdap, polio and more, which are necessary to begin school. Vaccination updates for teens are also available for meningitis and HPV. Seniors can receive vaccination for pneumonia, and hepatitis A and B, shingles and vitamin B12 injections are available as well. If your high-schooler needs a physical for sports or another reason, drop in for both needs at the same time.
We accept most insurance plans
MinuteClinic® can work with most insurance plans; you can also check for your provider under on our insurance page. Use our mobile prescription services to take full advantage of convenient online tools and services and to check on clinic wait times. For more information, contact our staff at 1-866-389-2727.
