The nurse practitioner was straightforward and helpful.
Quick, efficient, accurate service
I was seen by The Provider. Although I hadn’t made an appointment, she asked me if I could wait 30-40 minutes, and I answered that I could. She seemed well-informed. A urine sample confirmed that I had a UTI, and she prescribed Sulfamethoxazole to treat it while a culture is done. Since this Minute Clinic is in the same CVS I use, I was able to wait while the prescription was filled. Since I live nearby—and my long-term internist recently moved out of Washington, DC and I haven’t found a new internist yet—it was great to have a medical facility nearby that I could use.
Once I was seen it was an efficient visit but I did wait 45 minutes beyond my appointment time
it was easy to make an appointment, and the nurse was very good and provided what i hope will be a solution. the pharmacy immediately supplied the meds she prescribed. the only thing that would have been better was a specialist with specialized equipment, but i could not realistically expect that.
Quick, diagnosed, meds, on my way
As an older overseas traveller, I was in distress as I found myself short of required medication. I would like to say that the treatment I received from The Provider at the Du Pont Circle CVS was exceptional. Providerrdon was professional and reassuring, quickly setting about finding a solution, which she did. Providerrdon is a credit to herself, the medical profession and a top quality representative of your organisation. I am grateful for all her efforts which got me back on track.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my experience because I ended up with the care I needed. It was clear the person I was seeing was new, and a bit unsure of herself. She really relied on the computer, barely looked at me when asking questions, very focused instead on clicking boxes on the computer. I felt at times she was looking to me for direction which was a little frustrating.
The nurse was really kind and understanding and instantly made me feel comfortable.

The minute clinic was so wonderful. First of all, it was so easy to get an appointment next-day, or even same-day if the timing worked. I got there early and my provider was able to see me early! She was very nice, understanding, and I appreciated her thoroughness. I was stressed and she was able to comfort me and I felt reassured that we would come to a solution for my problem. I believe that her name is The Provider, so I would like to shout her out. I also had been to MedStar Urgent Care Capitol Hill a few days prior and they were not able to solve my problem, so I was feeling extra stressed about the situation. The Provider was very understanding, and as I mentioned, much more thorough than my provider at MedStar. This was my first time at minute clinic and it will now be my go-to for when I need urgent or last-minute medical care. I would like to say though that I was frustrated with the lack of ability to directly contact my provider with questions after getting test results. Going through the customer service phone line was very frustrating and I was not able to message her either on the website. Other medical providers I have been to always allow me to send a message through a portal after receiving test results. Especially after receiving a positive test, I was stressed and wanted to talk to her. I did not receive a phone call until 11 hours after receiving the positive test, so it was a stressful day.
