MinuteClinic® Inside CVS Pharmacy® at 8760 Sw 40 St, Miami, Florida 33165

Whether you’re in the mood for music, food, nightlife or outdoor recreation, Miami offers some of the world’s best in each category and more. Hike or bike around a lake at Tropical Park; explore the nature center at A.D. Barnes Park, or take in a new exhibit at the Frost Art Museum. Should you experience some bumps and bruises on your excursions or are suffering illness at home, CVS Pharmacy®MinuteClinic® can help. You’ll find us inside Navarro Discount Pharmacy, at the junction of Southwest 40th Street and Southwest 87th Avenue. We are near the University of Miami and serve the neighborhoods of Olympia Heights, Coral Terrace, Westchester and University Park.

Health care when you need it

It’s never a convenient time for sickness or injury, but suffering either after regular business hours might have you wondering where to turn for help. MinuteClinic® is here in your neighborhood, where you can visit on a walk-in basis. We are open after-hours on weekdays, and on weekends too.

If you need help during the night or outside of clinic hours, you can still access help through our Virtual Care program, which offers a live video consultation with a health professional. You’ll receive expert medical advice for treating your ailment, as well as any needed prescriptions. We also offer online consultations for adults who have questions about hair loss, allergies and acne. For this option, you’ll complete a questionnaire, which health care experts will review and respond to within a few hours with a treatment plan.

Variety of treatment options

The professionals who make up our clinic staff include nurse practitioners and physician assistants, who can identify and treat many different health conditions. Visit our MinuteClinic® for help with:

  • Bug and tick bites
  • Earaches and infections
  • Joint pain
  • Gout
  • Minor cuts
  • Coughs and colds
  • Flu symptoms
  • Diabetes care
  • Mono
  • Mouth pain
  • Zika

Among the women’s services we provide are wellness exams, pregnancy evaluations and treatment for bladder and yeast infections, as well as birth control. We also offer sports and camp physicals, TB testing, help with smoking cessation and weight loss and more.

Immunizations and flu shots

When you’re trying to get little ones ready for their first year of school, take advantage of our walk-in service for required immunizations such as polio, measles, mumps and more. Older children may need meningitis and HPV updates, and adults may benefit from updates such as shingles and pneumonia.

Make a note and get the entire family in for flu shots before the bug bites one of you. It takes about two weeks for the injection to offer full protection, so be sure to target a date in early fall. The CDC recommends getting annual shots each October before the flu bug starts biting. If you can’t corral everyone early, remember that it’s never too late to get the vaccine, as flu season can last into early spring months.
