She was absolutely amazing. She was on her way to lunch and she took me in and did my PPD. I had no appointment but she noticed the disappointment on my face and took the time to listen to me and understood why I really needed to get test done as soon as possible due to transportation issues. I was having a bad day and she took me in to her office did the test snd let me vent. I’m surprised I didn’t get charged for a psych consult instead. Thank you [...] for your caring and compassion. I will return again next time with an appointment and not during your lunch hour.

The PA who took care of me had no beside manners at all. Didn’t greet me at all. Didn’t apologize for my long over an hour wait as she was with the previous patient, who seemed to be her friend. He was with her over an hour. When I went in I had to ask her where I should sit, she never directed me as the patient. Never looked at my face while I spoke to her, gave me her back and kept documenting on the computer. I was the one to ask question instead of her telling me what was my issue with me and why I was in pain. My visit was 11 minutes long. I will never again use your location or recommend it to anyone. I’ll drive further if I have to and go elsewhere. I thought it was called “minute clinic” for a reason. Well at least with me she took minutes, it I unfortunately waited over and hour to be seen. Now I have to evaluate it with my employer and advise of my experience there as I work for the health insurance company. Thank You.

About the Flu (Influenza)

Influenza is an infectious respiratory disease. Generally, the flu may resolve on its own. However, if the flu goes untreated, you may be at risk for complications that can be life-threatening. Those that might be at a higher risk of severe flu complications include children under 5, adults over 65, pregnant women, and people with chronic illnesses or compromised immune systems. If you fall into any of these categories, it is essential that you take strides towards flu prevention by getting your flu shot at MinuteClinic. The flu shot works by exposing you to an inactive flu virus and the flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in the body after vaccination. These antibodies will help to protect you if you are exposed to the flu virus. Essentially, getting a flu shot prepares your body to fight the flu.

Why Get A Flu Shot?

Getting vaccinated helps to protect you and the people around you. Influenza sends a countless number of patients into hospitals each year – don’t be one of them. There are two types of flu shots – a seasonal vaccine for adults and children (preservative-free available, upon request) and a high dose vaccine (for ages 65+). While you can take preventative measures, getting immunized with the influenza vaccine is your best defense against the flu. Each year, new strains of the flu develop. While you may have gotten a flu shot in the past, you may not be protected from the new strands. Although flu vaccines may not be 100% effective, it is still the best defense against the virus. Don’t fall victim to the flu this year – stop by MinuteClinic and get your flu shot today!
