Overall good communication and quick to get into appointment and weekend availability is always a plus
Complained about swollen left tonsil and white patches on it, asked to be tested for strep. Tested for it and was negative. Went to a different urgent care the next day, Dr looked at my throat and confirmed it was strep due to the large white patches on my tonsil before even doing a swab test for strep on me, which DID come back positive. Dr’s exact words: “Anytime there it white on the tonsils, it’s strep.” Disappointed in my experience with CVS for the misdiagnosis and faulty test.

Normally no wait, had about a 20 minute wait this time. Practitioner friendly, but seemed a bit distracted. Had said she would prescribe lidocaine patches but never did, also sent script to CVS when I had requested a different pharmacy (not a problem as CVS ended up not being expensive as it normally is for that script, so I went with it). Also suggested capsaicin for possible shingles, and I know that is contraindicated with shingles. All in all, better than going to my primary though.
