Get your flu shot ASAP
The CDC recommends that individuals get their flu shots at the end of October, in preparation of flu season. Those who are able should get it so that they can protect themselves and others from the adverse consequences of influenza. If you are a healthy individual, schedule your appointment or simply walk in—we're ready to administer the shot when you are.
You may have heard that the flu shot is not 100 percent effective. That's true. It's impossible as of today to predict the particular strain of flu that will infect the population this year. However, researchers do their best to predict which strain will be the most active and create a vaccine that includes that strain, as well as two others. Even if you do end up getting the flu, because you got the shot, your risk of developing complications is extremely minimal.
Catch up on your other vaccinations
Our MinuteClinic® is prepared to defend against other common diseases as well. If you aren't caught up on your vaccines, or if your child or teenager needs his or her vaccines for school, come to us for the following immunizations:
- HPV
- MMR
- Tdap
- Birth control injection
- Hepatitis A and B
- Meningitis
- Vitamin B12
- IPV
If you don't see the vaccination you want or need, call our clinic at 1-866-389-2727. One of our friendly staff will be able to tell you which vaccines we offer.
Walk in for a checkup today
Whether you decided last minute that you want to obtain a baseline of your health, you planned ahead to get your flu shot, or you need immediate medical attention and can't wait for a doctor's appointment, visit our MinuteClinic® today. If you don't know where we're located, ask Siri to locate a "walk in clinic near me."
