FAQ and Privacy Information
A Privacy Authorization is required if you want to earn rewards on your pharmacy and health activities. The Privacy Authorization allows the Extracare program to access information about your pharmacy and health activities. Without an authorization, the Extracare program is unable to calculate and track rewards earned.
A separate authorization is necessary for each person who joins ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards. Adults 18 years and older must sign individually; parents or guardians can sign for children under 18.
No. Household members sharing the same ExtraCare card will only be able to see the membership status for those who have joined, how many credits and rewards have been earned, and how they were earned. Specific medication information will not be visible.
CVS Pharmacy will use the prescription number, store number, date of birth and ExtraCare card number to properly match online users with ExtraCare membership to ensure that earnings and rewards are recorded for the correct person.
Canceling your Privacy Authorization will automatically end your membership in ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards. You will no longer earn ExtraBucks Rewards for your prescription purchases. Opt Out
You can enroll at the pharmacy counter when picking prescriptions, or online at CVS.com
Pharmacy Rewards are a benefit of our ExtraCare program, so an ExtraCare account is required to access these rewards. If you don't have an ExtraCare account, visit CVS.com/ExtraCare to create one. Then you'll be eligible to unlock the Pharmacy Rewards benefit.
Yes. You can keep sharing the same card. However, only those family members who signed up for ExtraCare Pharmacy and Health Rewards will earn rewards under the program.

In this pilot program the value of each Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards credit is the same but you are able to earn rewards more quickly, receiving $2 Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards after earning 4 credits rather than $5 Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards after earning 10 credits. Your credit balance from the previous program will transfer and be paid out in the new program based on the number of credits earned as of June 1, 2020. You can still earn up to $50 Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards in a calendar year in this program.
