Relatively easy to book (if the workflow was really simple on app would have given a 10), easy to check in online, appointment happened on time and NP was excellent.

I arrived 10 minutes prior to start of appointment and checked in. I was not seen for nearly one hour and my appointment was only for a Tb test which is less than 10 minutes of time. I was frustrated to have to wait that length of time and if I had known, I could have simply rescheduled.

My experience was great, however, I have no friends or family who have insurance coverage for the MinuteClinic.

I arrived about 20 minutes early for my 3:40 PM appointment and checked in on time. Around 3:50 PM, another patient told the provider as they came into the waiting area that they arrived late for their appointment, but then they were taken back before me. I was not seen until about 4:10 PM. It was not a huge issue, but it was a little frustrating given that I arrived early.

The Provider at the MinuteClinic on Thomas in Phoenix, AZ was awesome. She spent an hour with me and gave me a very comprehensive examination and discussion. She helped me select the OTC drugs I needed and at all times was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is GLP-1 and how does it help with weight loss?

GLP-1 medications work by imitating a natural hormone that regulates insulin and appetite. They help reduce cravings and improve blood sugar control, which can lead to weight loss when combined with diet and activity changes.

How can I get prescribed Ozempic® or another weight-loss medication?

A licensed MinuteClinic® provider will evaluate your health history, medications, BMI (Body Mass Index) and lifestyle. If you're a good candidate, they can prescribe GLP-1 medication either in person or virtually.

Is semaglutide covered by insurance?

Insurance coverage can vary. Some plans cover semaglutide for weight loss, while others may require prior authorization. Our staff can help you determine your benefits.

How much does semaglutide cost with or without insurance?

Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your insurance and eligibility for savings programs. Our team can guide you through the process and help you understand your financial options.

How do I know if I'm eligible for weight-loss medication?

Your provider will look at your full health profile, including your medical history, current medications, BMI (Body Mass Index) and lifestyle habits to see if GLP-1 treatment is a good fit for you.
