The Provider does a great job of communicating with me. She knows me and I never feel like a stranger here. She is always kind and thoughtful.
I have always been treated with respect and care when I’ve come to the MinuteClinic at CVS. NP Mercedes was quick to help me with the check-in. She was very caring, thorough and kind. I’ve never gone into a CVS MinuteClinic that wasn’t always clean and the pharmacy is right there which makes things very convenient when you don’t feel well. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the bathroom light doesn’t stay on if you don’t move every couple of seconds. You find yourself in the dark and have to keep waving your arm to get the light to come back on. The timer is not set for any length of time at all.
Nurse/PA was a good listener.
The provider was not great with children. While she was kind, she didn't have the confidence and reassuring nature that providers need to get through an appointment when kids are scared. She suggested that we get a strep test and then had a lot of trouble getting the swab because my son was uncooperative. I was holding him, but she couldn't just get in and out with the swab since he wasn't perfectly still. What would typically take one or two tries at another office took numerous attempts that only further panicked my child. We did finally get the sample and the test was negative. She was also unable to see whether or not he had an ear infection because there was wax in his ear. She tried to remove the wax and said it was impacted. He was very scared and uncomfortable as she tried to dislodge it. Other medical providers, including his ENT, have confirmed that there's no impaction or infection...His ear tubes dislodged from his ear drum and are sitting in some wax in the ear canal, but the recommended course of action is to allow them to fall out on their own when ready. Other providers are still able to see his ear drum. Because of her uncertainty, she prescribed two different antibiotics in case he had an ear infection. We gave him one of them as a precaution, but later confirmed that the ear wasn't infected and his symptoms were the result of a separate virus that just needed to run its course. So, we were given an incorrect diagnosis and unnecessary medication.

There is always a blip in the online appointment process and/or check-in process. “New algorithm” I was told. Previous appointment same issues that even your customer service was unable to fix. Time to review and FIX
