What Is a NoseFrida?
NoseFrida is a baby nasal aspirator. Sometimes called a snot sucker, it is used to siphon snot out of your baby's nose to help your little one breathe easier and sleep better when he or she is congested. NoseFrida uses a disposable filter to block the transfer of mucus and bacteria, so the process is safe and hygienic for both caregiver and baby.
How to Use NoseFrida
When you are ready to use your NoseFrida, you should first ensure that the disposable filter is in place to prevent mucus or bacteria from transferring. Place the large clear tube against not inside ñ your baby's nostril, creating a seal. Then, place the red mouthpiece against your mouth and gently suck. The suction will draw the snot out of your baby's nostrils so that he or she can breathe more easily. TIP: If your baby's mucus is very thick, a few drops of sterile saline solution may help loosen it, so that you can suck it out more easily.
How to Clean NoseFrida
After you have used your NoseFrida, remove and discard the disposable filter in your trash. Next, wash the large tube with warm, soapy water and clean the thin tube with a few drops of rubbing alcohol. Once the pieces have dried, insert a new filter and firmly snap the pieces together so that your NoseFrida is ready for the next use.
Where Can I Buy a NoseFrida?
You can purchase your own NoseFrida at most local CVS stores or online.
