Daytime

Each 5mL dose of oral solution contains:

  • Dextromethorphan HBr, USP 5mg - cough suppressant
  • Guaifenesin, USP 100mg - expectorant

Relieves:

  • Chest congestion/mucus
  • Cough

Uses:

  • Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold
  • Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: Runny nose, sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, itching of the nose or throat

Nighttime

  • Alcohol-free
  • For ages 6 and over
  • Fruit punch flavor
  • Naturally and artificially flavored
  • Dosage cup included

Each 10mL dose of oral solution contains:

  • Chlorpheniramine maleate, USP 2mg - antihistamine
  • Dextromethorphan HBr, USP 15mg - cough suppressant

Relieves:

  • Cough up to 8-hour
  • Runny nose

Uses:

  • Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold
  • Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to drain bronchial tubes

Directions

Children's Daytime Cough and Chest Congestion DM

  • Measures only with dosage cup provided
  • Keep dosing cup with product
  • Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period
  • Children under 6 years of age: Do not use
  • Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 5 to 10mL every 4-hour
  • Adults and children 12 years and older: 10 to 20mL every 4-hour

Children's Nighttime Cough DM

  • Measures only with dosage cup provided
  • Keep dosing cup with product
  • Do not take more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period
  • Children under 6 years of age: Do not use
  • Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 10mL every 6-hour
  • Adults and children 12 years and older: 20mL every 6-hour

Warnings

Children's Daytime Cough and Chest Congestion DM

Warnings:

Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.

Ask a doctor before use if you have:

  • Cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus)
  • Cough that lasts or is chronic such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema

Stop use and ask a doctor if cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious condition.

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Other information:

  • Store between 20 degrees C to 25 degrees C (68 degrees F to 77 degrees F). Do not refrigerate
  • Do not use if printed seal under cap is torn or missing

  • To sedate a child or to make a child sleepy
  • If you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug.   • Glaucoma
  • A cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus)
  • A breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis
  • A cough that lasts or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers.

When using this product:

  • Do not take more than directed
  • Marked drowsiness may occur
  • Avoid alcoholic drinks
  • Alcohol sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness
  • Be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery
  • Excitability may occur, especially in children
