The Kissimmee area teems with lots to do, see and soak up. That’s one reason why it can be a huge bummer when a cough or a sprain keeps you from experiencing life 100 percent. Similarly, if you’re worried about whether you have diabetes or about where you can find good-quality flu shots, these concerns may detract from the fun you could be having.
MinuteClinic® to the rescue! We step in to provide assistance with a comprehensive array of minor skin conditions, illnesses and injuries. We also focus on preventative medicine in quite a few ways.
Walk in for many types of preventative health care
CVS Pharmacy® makes preventative health care even more accessible with each MinuteClinic®. For example, what stops many folks from heading down to their regular doctor’s office for immunizations, diabetes screenings, pre-travel consultations, sports physicals or birth control care?
Many people say it’s the wait. They call and get squeezed into a tiny window of 15 minutes for, say, two weeks from now. Once they arrive at the doctor’s office, it could be another wait of thirty minutes or an hour. No fun, and all for something that’s simple.
For other people, cost could be the issue. They’re uninsured or have no idea how much they might be billed. Some may have insurance, but their plan doesn’t cover certain procedures.
On the other hand, our MinuteClinic® offers many advantages:
- Open seven days a week
- Walk-ins welcome, and you can make an appointment if you want to
- Multiple payment options
- Most insurance plans accepted
- Online price list so you can budget accordingly if you’re paying yourself or are uninsured
Get your preventative medicine needs met in one visit. For instance, if you’re wondering how to prevent motion sickness on a cruise, our medical professionals can assist with that. They can also talk about any vaccinations you may need and possible diseases or health concerns to guard against in the area you’re heading to.
Similarly, if a diabetes screening shows that you are at risk of developing diabetes, our professionals can give you approaches that may prevent or stave off the onset of diabetes.
One more note: We offer flu shots in the clinic and at many community sites. Please give us a call if you’re interested in getting a shot.
We offer treatment options for many illnesses, injuries and skin conditions
What if you need treatment for, say, cough, acne or a really deep splinter? Our professionals handle many types of minor injuries, skin conditions and illnesses. Come see us for indigestion, pink eye, minor burns, stings, swimmer’s itch, athlete’s foot and much more.
We also offer Virtual Care services. Through a video visit or an online visit, you can get help for a spiking fever, sore throat, earache and many other conditions that an in-person MinuteClinic® visit would help with.
