Illnesses and injuries
Pink eye and styes are highly contagious eye infections that can be spread to others quickly. If one of your children or another family member suffers an eye infection, let our practitioners help. After an eye examination, we’ll identify the virus or bacteria through testing to ensure you receive proper treatment. Along with eye infections, we treat a range of illnesses and injuries, including:
- Minor cuts and wounds
- Coughs and bronchitis
- Rashes and skin conditions
- Bladder infections
- Muscle strain and sprains
- Nausea and diarrhea
- Mouth and oral pain
- Bug and tick bites
- Earaches and ear infections
- Cold and flu symptoms
Seasonal allergy sufferers need relief from runny noses, itchy eyes and constant sneezing. If you have allergies, come to MinuteClinic® where our clinicians can help you feel better. We can suggest over-the-counter medications or give you a prescription, if necessary.
Flu shots and immunizations
Many children are scared to get shots, but they are essential to protect them from flu, which can keep kids in bed for two weeks with head and body aches, fever, stuffy noses and more. MinuteClinic® practitioners are trained to administer flu shots and immunizations, and we’ll take care to minimize young ones’ fears. Flu shots are advised for all ages, and we can give injections to all family members 18 months and older.
Along with annual influenza, you can protect young ones from many illnesses and diseases with a range of immunizations essential to their health. We carry vaccines for polio, mumps, whooping cough and more, which are available on a drop-in basis.
Easing heartburn symptoms
Some suffer heartburn only occasionally, but others have symptoms nightly. It’s frustrating as well as painful dealing with nightly heartburn, not to mention wreaking havoc with your sleep. Along with burning in the chest, symptoms of indigestion can include coughing and feeling stuffed following a meal. Let our practitioners develop a treatment plan to ease your symptoms. It’s possible you may have H Pylori bacteria, which can lead to stomach problems and infections, as well as ulcers and other problems in the intestines and stomach. H Pylori may also put you at risk for gastric cancer. Testing and treatment for the bacteria is another service we can provide.
