Woodridge is a fairly young community in Illinois. It was only incorporated in 1959 when many of the town’s homes and businesses began construction. The city has come a long way in only a few decades, and one sign of that is the addition of a MinuteClinic®. Our CVS Pharmacy®, which is located on the corner of Woodward Avenue and 87th Street, has all the same amenities you have come to expect. However, this one goes the extra mile. Trained family nurse practitioners are on staff to help you overcome a litany of illnesses and injuries
Which illnesses and injuries can you come here for?
We do not have the equipment necessary to handle every single condition. An emergency room visit may be unavoidable, but in many cases, you can circumvent this visit by heading over to our clinic. We have exam rooms to see everyone who stops by in a timely manner. We serve people on a first-come, first-serve basis, but you can make an appointment by calling ahead. Some of the illnesses you can find relief from at our clinic include:
- Styes and pink eye
- Sore throat
- Mono
- Urinary tract infection
- Gout
- Vomiting and diarrhea
- Allergies
- Zika
- Heartburn and indigestion
We also provide convenient first aid when you suffer an injury at your house or out and about on the town. At MinuteClinic® we can treat a minor burn you got from chemicals, fire or the sun. In some cases, our team can prescribe an antibiotic you can pick up at the same location. Our team can also help with bug stings, blisters, sprains and splinters.
Which vaccinations can you get from our team?
Children, teenagers and adults can come to our clinic for essential immunizations. Some age restrictions may be in place, but you should see if you can get your family vaccinated against whooping cough, shingles, meningitis, the flu, HPV, hepatitis A and polio. The next time the flu starts coming through town, you know when to turn to when you start to think, “I need a walk in clinic near me now.”
Are there any other treatments you can get?
When your skin starts feeling itchy and dry, you can show it to our practitioners to see if there is anything you need. Our team has experience in treating athlete’s foot, impetigo, shingles, scabies and chicken pox.
You can have regular screenings and monitorings to keep your blood pressure, body mass index and cholesterol levels in check. Any chronic conditions require routine check-ups to ensure you are doing everything in your power to stay healthy. Diabetics can even get their A1c tests here twice annually.
What should you do next?
You can drive over without calling ahead of time, but appointments are also welcome. After your examination, our team will provide a summary of your visit with your primary healthcare provider so that everyone on your team stays in the loop. We are open every day of the week, including Saturday and Sunday. Any more questions you have can be directed to us by phone at 1-866-389-2727.
