CVS Health™ Iodine Tincture helps to prevent infection in minor injuries. To use CVS Health™ iodine solution to treat minor skin injuries, clean the affected area with mild soap and water. Then apply a small amount of tincture to the wound. To avoid staining clothing, allow the tincture time to dry before covering the application area with a bandage. See the usage instructions provided on the back of the bottle to see how often you can safely reapply your iodine tincture. Warning: Poison. Keep safely out of reach. If accidentally ingested, first give milk. Then make a starch solution with 2 Tbs of cornstarch or flour and a pint (2 cups) of water. Contact a Poison Control Center immediately. Do not apply to animal bites, puncture wounds, or severe burns unless instructed by your healthcare provider. For accidental contact with eyes, flush with large amounts of water while lifting the upper and lower lids. Discontinue use and consult your physician if your injury gets worse or treatment extends beyond 7 days.
