Heartburn can be extremely uncomfortable and even painful at times. If you're suffering from frequent heartburn that occurs two or more days per week, CVS Health Omeprazole Acid Reducer can offer relief. This heartburn treatment is designed to be taken once every 24 hours for a total of 14 days. You should feel relief within approximately one to four days. These heartburn tablets inhibit acid production at the source so you will not only feel better, the problem will be addressed right where it starts. The active ingredient is omeprazole 20 mg, a Proton Pump Inhibitor, or PPI. This ingredient works by deactivating pumps in the stomach lining where acid is produced. Follow the directions and take it regularly for a total of 14 days for the best results. While this product can offer relief, it is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn so a supplemental treatment may be needed until symptoms subside. Always talk to your doctor before taking any new medication. This product features a coating in a wildberry mint flavor so it's easy and pleasant to take. Swallow one table each morning with a glass of water, preferably on an empty stomach before breakfast. To prevent heartburn, never lie flat or bend over directly after eating. Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothing around the stomach and try not to eat right before bedtime. Raise your head while you sleep. Stay away from foods like spicy, fatty, or fried foods and caffeine, chocolate, and alcohol. These foods can cause heartburn and should be avoided whenever possible if you're dealing with heartburn symptoms.
