How do I know if the Uqora UTI Emergency Kit is right for me?
We get it - life happens, and UTIs can hit us when we least expect it. The UTI Emergency Kit is a convenient 3-in-1, over-the-counter bundle that has everything you need to manage a UTI until you can see a doctor. Test if you have a UTI, quickly relieve pain and burning, and control the infection. Keep in your bathroom or pack for your next trip for added peace of mind wherever you may go.
When should I take each product in the UTI Emergency Kit?
Use at the first signs of a possible UTI: urinary pain, burning, urgency or frequency.
We recommend using the UTI Test Strips before taking our UTI Pain Relief. The pain relief product contains phenazopyridine hydrochloride, an orange organic dye. This dye enters the urine to take effect and relieve UTI pain; however, it also turns the urine bright orange! Since the test strips use color to indicate if you might have a UTI, the orange urine will make it more difficult to interpret.
You can use the UTI Pain Relief and UTI Infection Control, together at the same time.
Note: if you are on antibiotics, we do not recommend taking the UTI Infection Control due to the methenamine.
Will the UTI Emergency Kit treat my UTI?
No. None of Uqora's products are intended for treatment. If you suspect you have a UTI, it's important to seek treatment from a medical professional.
Can I take the products in the UTI Emergency Kit if I am on antibiotics or medication?
Please consult your doctor if you are taking any other prescription medications or antibiotics before taking UTI Infection Control. UTI Infection Control should not be taken with sulfonamide drugs. UTI Infection Control should not be taken with anticoagulants, steroid drugs, or in addition to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen and others).
We always recommend speaking with your doctor if you are on any medications or antibiotics prior to use.
Can I take the products in the UTI Emergency Kit at the same time as Uqora's proactive urinary tract health supplements?
You can take the UTI Emergency Kit products at the same time as Uqora Defend and Uqora Promote. We do not recommend taking Uqora Flush at the same time for the following reasons:
Products that decrease the acidity of the urine (such as antacids, sodium bicarbonate, potassium or sodium citrate, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors such as acetazolamide) may reduce the effectiveness of UTI Infection Control. Since Uqora Flush makes the urine less acidic, taking Uqora Flush alongside UTI Infection Control may reduce the effectiveness of UTI Infection Control. While it is safe to do so, we recommend not taking Flush and UTI Infection Control together for this reason.
Uqora Flush contains Vitamin C. High intake of Vitamin C may impact the results of the UTI Test by impacting the perceived color. This could lead to a false negative nitrite result. For these reasons, while safe, we do not recommend taking UTI Pain Relief or Uqora Flush before using UTI Test Strips.
