Have had good experiences at the MC in Simpsonville SC, but had one of the worst customer experiences of my life (at any sort of store) at the MC in Bluffton SC. I get very sick 200 miles from home, find a MC in Bluffton even though it is about a 45 minute drive make an appointment. Arrive early, check in, several others waiting. Waited an hour and a half, nurse came out and quite rudely told me that she was not going to be able to see me. That due to an emergency she was running way behind and it was time for her lunch break so she did not have time to see me. I said so, I will be your first appointment after your lunch ? Again rudely she said NO, that wii throw me behind all afternoon and everybody will be mad…your appointment is cancelled. If you want to come back I will try to work you in as my last patient, otherwise you can make another appointment for tomorrow or go to Urgent Care. As far as I am concerned I will never enter the doors of a CVS again.

We explained that our kiddo had no fever or harsh symptoms besides a bad headache and pressure. But his school program requires a doctors note for absences. Rather than the PA (Providerlen) taking our word for it and simply writing a note, she was thorough and discovered the he actually had a terrible sinus infection that required immediate start of antibiotics. The visit was quick (we did not even make an appointment before arriving and were seen within 15 minutes). She and the nurse were kind, patient and helpful, to the point of walking into the store portion of cvs to point out the appropriate OTC meds to accompany the Rx.
