The NP was amazing! He spent a lot of time with me and was very thorough! It was my first time using CVS minute clinic and I will definitely use it again!
The Nurse Practitioner I saw was prompt, knowledgeable, and very personable. He even remembered me from my previous visit, which I really appreciated. I’m grateful that CVS has added this service to the pharmacy. It offers convenient, timely medical care when needed and has been more accessible and responsive than my primary care provider.
The nurse practitioner didn’t check the previous visit summary and prescribed the exact same ear drop. The patient had mentioned it to her that he had the ear infection end of March or early April and he came to the same minute clinic. The NP said she couldn’t check or see. Later on we spoke to the customer service. The NP told the customer service first that she wasn’t able to see the previous medical records. Then said she didn’t think we had enough ear drop left from the last time and she was afraid the drop was expired and discarded. The ear drop is actually about 10ml. It was prescribed for the patient to do 5 drops a day for 7 days and it still has plenty left from the last time. And the suggested discarded date is in April 2027. She then prescribed Tylenol for pain but the patient claimed he had no pain in the ear and no fever. This is really concerning. We have always gone to the minute clinic for it’s convenience and location. But this incident just makes us feel uncomfortable and scared that the staffs are careless and unapologetic for mistakes.
The Provider helped my son the day of his appointment and she was great…I would definitely schedule her again. Very good bedside manor.
