Why choose us?
When you are feeling under the weather you usually want to get better as quickly as humanly possible. Unfortunately, getting in with your doctor can take days or even weeks depending on the situation. The good news is we are available for same-day visits and we are able to help in over 120 ways, whether you need injury or illness care or you want the pneumonia vaccine.
Our nurse practitioners and physician assistants are highly qualified and have the clinical experience needed to diagnose a variety of conditions for patients 18 months and older. They will recommend treatment and can even write a prescription if necessary.
While we can help in a number of ways, we are also trained to know when additional care is needed. If we determine it is an emergency situation or you need specialty services we can refer you to Waterbury Hospital.
How we can help
Illness care is a popular reason patients visit our clinic. We help treat:
- Cold and flu
- Mouth pain
- Pink eye
- Strep throat
- Sinus infection
- Upper respiratory infection
If you have a minor injury we can also help with first aid treatment. Common injuries we care for include blisters, wounds, cuts, burns, bug and tick bites, splinters and suture removal.
If you have a skin condition, we can save you a trip to the dermatologist. Come in if you have:
- Cold sores
- Hair loss
- Athlete's foot
Other services we offer at MinuteClinic® are women's health, travel health and vaccination administration.
Even if you feel just fine, we are able to be of service because we provide a number of services geared towards wellness and prevention. If you need a physical to start at Naugatuck Valley Community College, we can assist. We also provide physicals to prepare you for participation on a sports team, camp and DOT as well as general medical exams.
Chronic conditions, such as diabetes, obesity and heart issues, can often be caught early on and managed. To help do this we offer screenings that measure your levels of glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure and body mass index. If they are at abnormal levels we can recommend treatment and then monitor your body's response to make sure they are effective. We also provide programs for weight loss and smoking cessation.
Our MinuteClinic® is available seven days a week, and we have hours into the evenings and on weekends. If you search for a walk in clinic near me you will find we are easily reached from I-84. If you have any questions our staff is happy to help. Give us a ring at (203) 755-5490 .
