MinuteClinic® Inside CVS Pharmacy® at 6915 West Avenue, Castle Hills, Texas 78213

Castle Hills is a small enclave of San Antonio that is north of the downtown area and near the airport. Residents and visitors can enjoy many activities that are close to home, including golf at The Quarry or SilverHorn golf courses, putt-putt at Monster Mini Golf, or walking trails at Walker Ranch. Within easy reach are a variety of downtown venues as well, including the Witte Museum, The DoSeum, botanical gardens, the Museum of Art and the San Antonio Zoo. Castle Hills is also home to MinuteClinic®, where you can access health care, immunizations and more on a walk-in basis. You’ll find us inside CVS Pharmacy® at the intersection of West Avenue and FM 1535. We are next door to Castle Hills Church and a few miles south of Hardberger Park and the Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Treatment for illnesses and injuries

Getting sick is part of life, and so is getting hurt. For help getting through both, come to MinuteClinic®, where nurse practitioners and physician assistants can assess your condition and offer treatment. Our clinicians can evaluate a wide range of injuries and illnesses, including:

  • Minor burns and blisters
  • Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
  • Earaches and ear infections
  • Muscle strains and sprains
  • Sinus infections
  • Urinary infections
  • Bug bites and insect stings
  • Coughs and bronchitis
  • Cold and flu symptoms

Women can access specialized services that include evaluating pregnancy and counseling to discuss your many birth control options, from condoms to prescription pills and injections. We also offer wellness exams and treatment for yeast and bladder infections.

Wellness services

MinuteClinic® wants to be your partner for minor health care needs. If you need a physical as part of DOT driving certification or to participate in sports or other activities, visit us for on-the-spot help. Ear wax removal, one-time medication renewal, TB testing and more are among our services, and we also have a program for weight loss and can aid with smoking cessation.

Flu shots and immunizations

Having sick children makes parents anxious, and a typical, two-week bout with influenza is enough to exhaust you with worry while caring for your little ones. Make life easier on yourself and your children with a preventive flu shot at the beginning of each flu season. The Centers for Disease Control suggests parents plan to get flu shots each October for everyone in the family; we can administer injections to those 18 months and older. High-dose flu shots are also available for those over 65.

Immunizations provide vital protection from many diseases. We can help you keep children up-to-date on vaccinations for measles, polio, whooping cough and more. Our clinic also carries pneumonia, hepatitis A and B and shingles vaccines.
