Best minute clinic experience I’ve ever had. This particular location was super clean, organized & easy to make an appointment & check-in on arrival. My appointment was right on-time & the NP was very helpful & empathetic. Would definitely recommend this clinic to others.

The doctor I saw was amazing. I am staying at a hotel nearby and had called a car service which ended up canceling which resulted in me getting another car service and arriving late. The doctor moved my appointment to a later time which I was able to see on line and was so thankful. The facility was spotless and person in the pharmacy who rang up my prescription was very personable.

When Should I Go to Urgent Care or Walk-In Clinic in Cave Creek, AZ?

Urgent Cares and walk-in clinics are ideal for when you become sick or injured when your regular doctor is not available for a last-minute appointment. Update family immunizations

Vaccinating children against common diseases can make them immune without getting sick first. However, it is not only children who are susceptible to these diseases. Vaccine effectiveness can diminish over time. If it has been more than 20 years since you received vaccinations for childhood diseases, you may be susceptible to contracting them. Search for a walk-in clinic near me and ask our practitioners about Titers testing.

We can identify how many antibodies are in your bloodstream and if you are still immune to particular diseases. Depending on the count, we can administer vaccines for:

  • Measles, mumps and rubella
  • Hepatitis A and B
  • Pneumonia
  • Diphtheria
  • IPV (Polio)
  • Meningitis
  • Tetanus
  • Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

Unlike these diseases, the flu changes from year to year. We provide seasonal flu shots developed to fight the most recent strain of the virus. For patients 65 and older or those who have weakened immune systems, the high-dose flu shot is available. At MinuteClinic® we also can administer the multi-dose pediatric vaccine for children nine years and younger, and the standard vaccine for teens and adults.

Come in for regular checkups

The experienced medical professionals at our clinic can conduct wellness exams and comprehensive screenings to help you stay healthy and live longer. Screenings and monitoring are available for chronic issues including:

  • Cholesterol
  • Hepatitis C
  • Diabetes
  • Asthma

Hepatitis C may not have any visible symptoms, but it can cause liver inflammation and have serious consequences. A one-time blood test is recommended for patients born between 1945 and 1960 to determine if you have the disease. An A1c check is recommended twice a year if you have diabetes. Our medical professionals can conduct these tests, no appointment needed.

About the Flu (Influenza)

Influenza is an infectious respiratory disease. Generally, the flu may resolve on its own. However, if the flu goes untreated, you may be at risk for complications that can be life-threatening. Those that might be at a higher risk of severe flu complications include children under 5, adults over 65, pregnant women, and people with chronic illnesses or compromised immune systems. If you fall into any of these categories, it is essential that you take strides towards flu prevention by getting your flu shot at MinuteClinic. The flu shot works by exposing you to an inactive flu virus and the flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in the body after vaccination. These antibodies will help to protect you if you are exposed to the flu virus. Essentially, getting a flu shot prepares your body to fight the flu.

Why Get A Flu Shot?

Getting vaccinated helps to protect you and the people around you. Influenza sends a countless number of patients into hospitals each year – don’t be one of them. There are two types of flu shots – a seasonal vaccine for adults and children (preservative-free available, upon request) and a high dose vaccine (for ages 65+). While you can take preventative measures, getting immunized with the influenza vaccine is your best defense against the flu. Each year, new strains of the flu develop. While you may have gotten a flu shot in the past, you may not be protected from the new strands. Although flu vaccines may not be 100% effective, it is still the best defense against the virus.  Don’t fall victim to the flu this year – stop by MinuteClinic and get your flu shot today!
