MinuteClinic® Inside CVS Pharmacy® at 189 Watertown Street, Watertown, Massachusetts 02472

Whenever you need help for a turned ankle, bee sting, nausea or indigestion that comes with daily life, visit MinuteClinic® in downtown Watertown. We are in the CVS Pharmacy® building on Watertown Street, west of Casey Park, the place to play baseball, basketball, hockey and tennis. Also located in the downtown area is Fowle House, a state government headquarters during the American Revolution.

East of downtown, golfers can tee off at Oakley Country Club, while bicyclists can ride around Fresh Pond. North of town, walkers and hikers have their choice of trails at Lone Tree Hill, Storer Conservation or Beaver Brook North. You’ll also find the Plumbing Museum to the north, while the Jackson Homestead and Museum to the south is the place for history buffs.

Treatment for a range of ailments

Seasonal allergies can make you miserable with a runny nose, itchy eyes and sneezing. Our clinicians can recommend medication, either over-the-counter or prescription-based to help you feel better. Along with allergies, we can diagnose and treat a wide range of ailments. Visit us for:

  • Upper respiratory infection
  • Minor blisters and burns
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Rashes and skin conditions
  • Bronchitis and cough
  • Sinus infections and congestion
  • Gout and joint pain
  • Sore and strep throat
  • STD evaluation and treatment

Are you ready for another flu season? Protect your health with a yearly flu shot from our practitioners. Along with flu injections, we can provide immunizations for a variety of illnesses and disease, from polio to meningitis and more.

Mouth and oral pain

Is there anything worse than a toothache? If there is, you surely can't think of it while your tooth hurts. We can assess your symptoms and offer non-narcotic pain medicine. If you have an infection along with the ache, we’ll treat it with an antibiotic. We don’t address the dental or oral issue that is causing your pain, but we can help you get through the wait until you see a dentist. We can also refer you to one if you don’t have a family dentist.

Women’s wellness services

If you think they may be pregnant, we can take the guesswork out of it. Along with evaluating your possible pregnancy, we can also treat you for HPV, as well as yeast and bladder infections. We also offer women’s wellness exams, which typically include a Pap smear to screen for cervical cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, women should have regular Pap smears beginning at age 21.

For those considering birth control, we offer a consultation that will help you learn more about all of your options, from condoms to pills, injections and more. Some services we can provide, such as prescription pills. For other methods, such as tubal ligation and IUD implants, we will refer you to your physician or OB/GYN.
