The waiting list system needs to change. The CVS app said waiting time was about 30 minutes. I added my name to the waiting list on the app. I left home and arrived in 10 minutes. When I got there and checked in the app still said waiting time was 30 minutes. As I navigated through the check in it asked if I wanted to take an appointment or keep my “original appointment.” I kept the original appointment, then when the NP was available, I was told there were no openings. I explained the situation and she agreed to see me.

The practitioner was great, when we got to see her! My kids have seen her before with positive experiences. However, I was less than impressed with the wait time response. We left an hour early because it was a blizzard. We arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled time and walked the store and checked in when we could. When we went at our time, we were told she was behind which is fine and to come back in 10 minutes. I respect that because other locations were closed. When we returned in 10 minutes she said that two people were schedule ahead of us but like you wouldn’t show, however if they do, she would see them ahead of us. I shared I don’t find that appropriate as we were here on time and they have not arrived yet. She said to come back in 10 more minutes. We were eventually seen at 12:50ish. I knew my kid had an ear infection so it was worth waiting and I would have been fine regardless except for the ability to allow two others to go ahead of us should they have come!

I made a reservation at cvs Minnetonka 101 on Friday for a Saturday appointment. I got a text message confirmation from them. The text said to go wait at the pharmacy. I did. After waiting I talked to someone in pharmacy who told me the systems are down. She was completely indifferent to my predicament. She says “go over to the minute clinic “. and “maybe they can fit you in”. So basically my reservation was worthless. She handled it in the least customer service friendly manner. Perhaps indifference and zero accountability is your business model. So I went to minute clinic where a more professional person there took accountability and worked to get me in. I guess 50% fulfillment of the most basic customer service is the new normal. This is the second dreadful experience w cvs at that location. I suspect no one reads these but it’s nice to get it off my chest. Keep up the bad work. I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward.

We brought my 8 year old daughter in to be evaluated for a sinus infection with a 12 day cough/congestion history and severe facial and tooth pain. The provider completely dismissed this and stated that he has never seen a sinus infection in a child before. He recommended nasal spray and Sudafed only. This is concerning in a clinic that sees and treats children as they’re really not that rare and she was classic presentation. We brought our daughter to her regular doctor the following day and she was diagnosed with a sinus infection and ear infection which needed antibiotics. The provider did not listen to us and was dismissive. It seems additional training in pediatric related illnesses would be helpful.
