Services the whole family can count on
MinuteClinic® on Miles Road, just off Downingtown Pike, treats patients in over 125 different ways. We understand the individual needs of our patients and work hard to ensure you are well taken care of. We treat patients starting at 18 months old and are happy to refer you to another physician for your infant. We treat patients for the following:
- Skin conditions – Evaluations and treatment for skin conditions include lice, rosacea, ringworm, sunburn, swimmer’s itch, athlete’s foot, acne and a wide range of other issues.
- Minor injuries – We treat minor burns, cuts, blisters, splinters, strains, joint pain, bug bites, tick bites, stings and sprains. If your injury requires an x-ray, involves your eyes, is a result of an automobile accident or includes a broken bone, we’ll direct you to another physician who can better care for your needs.
- Minor illnesses – With a few age restrictions for these services, we typically see patients for minor illnesses such as oral conditions, nausea, strep throat, styes, flu-like symptoms, gout, earaches, urinary tract infections, allergies and other similar issues.
Additionally, our nurse practitioners and physician assistants provide DOT, camp, sports and college physicals. During a wellness exam, we can consult you about eyelash lengthening, renew medication, remove ear wax and test for TB.
Immunizing to prevent disease
Sometimes the best form of healthcare is prevention. There are some serious illnesses you can prevent simply by receiving immunizations. If you’re wondering, “Is there a walk in clinic near me in West Chester?” you’re in luck. On Miles Road, our clinicians administer the flu shot and recommend everyone who qualifies receive theirs. Seniors and infants are particularly susceptible to the disease and anyone around them can keep them protected by getting the flu shot every season. The following are some other immunizations we administer.
- Hepatitis A and B
- MMR and shingles
- Td, Tdap and DTaP
- IPV, meningitis and pneumonia
For patients requiring vitamin B12 or an injection of birth control, our practitioners have the qualifications to administer those as well.
Services specifically for women
When it comes to the health of our female patients, we know that you have specific medical needs that should be met. Our women’s services include pregnancy evaluations and birth control care. We also diagnose and treat urinary tract, bladder and yeast infections. If your care requires further treatment, or if our services don’t cover the issues you are dealing with, we’ll refer you to a qualified OB/GYN and with your permission, send them a report of your visit here.
