More than the services you might expect
As a walk-in clinic, you might expect our MinuteClinic® to have certain features, such as blood pressure tests, flu shots and strep tests. While we do handle those basic needs, we offer a wide variety of other services as well. This is because we staff nurse practitioners and physician assistants who have become educated, licensed and qualified to diagnose and treat in many of the same ways a physician can. Some services you can count on include:
- Minor illness treatment – Whether you require a prescription for strep throat or need a recommendation on how to handle mono, we evaluate, diagnose and treat a variety of minor illnesses. This could include nausea, diarrhea, gout, heartburn, pink eye, STDs, Zika, allergies, bronchitis and more.
- Minor injury care – Injuries we treat include minor burns, sprains, joint pain, bug bites, stings, tick bites, splinters, blisters, strains and other similar wounds. We can also remove staples and sutures for our patients.
- Women’s services – Women are busy, but they need to slow down once in a while to care for their health-related conditions. At our clinic, we offer birth control care, HPV vaccine, pregnancy evaluations and treatment for various female-related infections.
- Skin condition evaluation – There are a lot of skin conditions out there, and our professionals can evaluate and diagnose yours. With proper diagnosis, we can begin a treatment plan for rosacea, warts, lice, dermatitis, acne, scabies and various other skin conditions.
Keeping the whole family healthy
When it comes to keeping your whole family healthy, it’s important to stay on top of your vaccination schedule. Wondering, “Is there a walk in clinic near me where I can get my family vaccinated?” Fortunately, there is. At MinuteClinic® just off Brinker Road, we vaccinate patients over 18 months of age. Though some other age restrictions might apply to certain vaccines, we administer the following.
- DTaP
- Hepatitis A and B
- Td
- Pneumonia
- Shingles
- Tdap
- Meningitis
- MMR
- IPV
- HPV
Perhaps one of the most commonly known vaccines, we also administer the flu shot. Your entire family should receive a seasonal flu shot every year to help you steer clear of the devastating effects the disease can have on those with weakened immune systems.
