I let them know I arrived. Within 5 minutes I was called in. The technician was very pleasant. He explained what he was going to do, asked if I had any questions. Gave me my 2 shots, my paperwork and I was done.

I used my CVS account to schedule a COVID vaccine. Sign up was very convenient, but I was confused by the notification to sign in when I arrived. In the past, when I arrived for the vaccine I would click on the link provided in the text to check in and proceed to the vaccination center. This time, the link sent me to the sign in home page, so I did not know if the practitioner was aware of my presence. After sitting in the pharmacy vaccination area, I walked over to the MinuteClinic area to ask if anyone was available to administer the vaccine. She was immediately responsive, and explained that I had signed up for the MinuteClinic and she was just about to cancel me out. She signed me in a proceeded to administer the vaccine. This feedback is less about the actual service I received than about the scheduling of a vaccine (Medical vs Pharmacy).

I just felt I waited too long to be seen. There was one person in front of me who came and went. I sat waiting for about 30 minutes watching both nurses type for a long time. When I got called in, it was for a “check-in” with an RN before I got to see the NP. She questioned me about my regular meds, current dosages and then previous surgeries, I'm 46! I've had many!! When she asked about my last date of monthly cycle I told her oh, I had a hysterectomy years ago. She said “Well, that would be under surgeries” and seemed to be inconvenienced having to go back and update as I sat watching the clock. I had to stop disclosing any more information and surgeries fearing it would make the wait even longer! (should have made up a date about my cycle just to get through)! I was there for conjunctivitis!! I have a PCP for those other things!! I was told to GO BACK to the waiting area to wait for the NP as she (the RN)!wrote a note for the NP to read. I sat within view watching her and the NP typing again! SIDE BY SIDE, doors open. My eye was tearing and burning as people shopped around me in public view. Ugh. I realized how ridiculous it all was being the ONLY patient at that time and it would have been faster to go to an urgent care or try calling my PCP for a virtual. When another patient arrived, I was immediately called in. Just felt unnecessary and very frustrating.

I LOVED the staff and almost the entire set up. But when you are the one not feeling well, the on line check in is a bit daunting. When I arrived, the check in kiosk couldn't find me the the practitioner could see me on their schedule. If they can't get me checked in, I don't know how you expect a patient to get themselves checked in! I love that the staff was quick and through. They were running about an hour late but could catch back up with me, as I was fairly simple. I loved that they could send my Rx right to the pharmacy there!! One stop and done. My Rx was pretty pricey. The pharmacy checked to ensure that I still wanted the medication. Those parts were fantastic!! I was traveling out of state and have never used a minute Clinic before because I work for a hospital and they have their own insurance product and treatment pathways. This was, overall, a good experience. The checki in / reservation process needs some improvement though.

The place was clean. The nurse and doctor were professional and helpful. I left there feeling like I had the best care in a quick visit. Only negative was a little bit of a wait even though I had an appointment. However, I felt the visit was worth the wait. I liked that I could get an appointment sooner at minute clinic than any of the urgent care centers in my area. The bonus was that as soon as my visit was complete, the prescription I needed was already ready for pick up at the pharmacy in the same store. Very convenient!

Despite the extremely hard and uncomfortable chairs and the unclean bathroom that needs to be used for medical purposes, the NP was very considerate, thorough and helpful! Also the supplies and equipment in the exam room were impressive.
