My doctor was great and gave me the treatment I needed. It was fast, easy, and much better than trying to see a regular doctor. Plus I could go in on a Sunday.
Easy access and friendly staff
CVS was unable to provide Yellow Fever vaccination. Thus, I needed to pay for a second consult to obtain the vaccination. This defeats the purpose of having pre-travel consultation when I need to pay two twice and go to another provider.
I am writing to formally document a distressing experience I had at your Minute Clinic location on April 2nd during my 6:30 PM appointment. Upon arrival, I was assisted by a medical assistant, The Provider, who was professional and pleasant. However, my interaction with The Provider was highly concerning. Despite my explaining the urgent nature of my visit—to receive a physician-requested injection to prevent hemorrhaging and potential hospitalization—the Provider refused to administer the treatment. Several aspects of the care provided were unacceptable: - Inaccurate Medical Assessment: The Provider claimed my tonsils looked "fine" during an examination of my throat. I had to correct her, as I had my tonsils surgically removed as a child. This fabrication calls into question the validity of her physical examination. - Refusal of Care and Collaboration: Although I offered to facilitate a call with my referring physician for guidance, The Provider ultimately stated she "did not care" what they had to say and refused the injection. - Inappropriate Testing: Despite my clear statement that I was not experiencing symptoms of strep throat, [...] insisted on a strep test, which I feel was an unnecessary use of medical resources and insurance. - Unprofessional Conduct: As the clinic’s 7:30 PM closing time approached, The Provider became rushed and dismissive. She directed staff to begin cleaning the room while I was still being seen and grew irritated when I questioned the accuracy of her medical findings. I am deeply disappointed by this experience. I felt my medical needs were secondary to the NP’s desire to close the clinic on time. I have already discussed this matter with my primary physician, who expressed equal dissatisfaction with the refusal of treatment. I request that this matter be reviewed and documented within my patient file. I look forward to your response regarding how this lapse in care will be addressed.
For the appointment I had, I had to leave a urine sample. The bathroom was very dirty. Had I not had a medical issue I would have left. Since the store bathroom is also used for Dr.s visits, I would expected it to be clean.
Provider was competent, friendly, and professional.
Excellent professional treatment. All question answered.
I liked how the clinic had a staff member for check in, run tests, and take vitals. All test results were in by the time I saw the provider.
Professionalism.

The Provider, sent me to the ER when she observed that my pulse was 150, far above normal. I had made the appointment at Minute Clinic to get ear wax removed. At the ER, the staff saw that I have A- Fib. I have been admitted to Inova Alexandria Hospital for observation and treatment. I am grateful for the wise decision by Provideren.
